Interior Décor Colour Trends for 2019

It’s no secret that colour trends for interior décor & design closely follow fashion trends. Pantone are the world leading colour gurus.

Pantone predict the incoming new season colours. And then designers from all over the world look to them for guidance and inspiration. And just like magic, you will start to see the colours that they predict everywhere in shops.

Pantone's Colour of the for 2019 is called Living Coral. This is a fresh clean orange based pink. Similar to the Salmon that was popular last year but with more vibrancy to the colour.

Every year there are a few great basic neutrals. In 2019 the neutrals are shades of Navy blue, rich browns and cream variations. But it’s the bright colours that keep life interesting.

Hot spicy colours like deep red, mango orange and saffron or turmeric are huge this year.

This year there is a fantastic bright electric blue. Like a deep Mediterranean blue sea or the colour of rooftops in Santorini.

New season greens look like earthy olive or moss green, a slightly muddy yellow based fern green is in fashion for 2019.

Pinks can be either bright hot pink or a softer baby pink or lolly pink this year. Salmon is still around overlapping from 2018. With coral being the colour of the year for 2019 it merges the hot spicy colour with the pink tones perfectly.
